Martin:

Foreign welcome to Tea Party Media Episode 14 I Am Martin Lindeskog and I'll

Martin:

check here if I'll go live here on YouTube.

Martin:

I tried to connect on LinkedIn and Facebook but I didn't manage to do it.

Martin:

But I will check here.

Martin:

I'm going live on YouTube so managed to do

Martin:

that.

Martin:

Double check here.

Martin:

Yeah, so it's working.

Martin:

So I will do this.

Martin:

Oops. Short and sweet.

Martin:

Talking about the headline and subject title

Martin:

you could say for the episode will be Minnesota Nice and focus on positive news.

Martin:

And I'm wearing here a hoodie from Minnesota University that I got from a friend who visit

Martin:

the state at the travel at the trip and at the project there.

Martin:

Regarding could say business, small business integration.

Martin:

What to learn from America when it comes to integration with business and when you're

Martin:

coming from a foreign country like Somalia.

Martin:

More about that in a future episode.

Martin:

So I got to hear the expression.

Martin:

I learned the expression from friend here, Deborah Anderson.

Martin:

Deborah E. Yes.

Martin:

Singer from Los Angeles and now also co host

Martin:

of a new podcast Fusion Studio.

Martin:

Fusion like science fiction, SF studio Fusion.

Martin:

And she told about the expression how to be

Martin:

nice Minnesotan way.

Martin:

So I will do some research on that and learn

Martin:

from that.

Martin:

And Minnesota, plenty of Swedes immigrated there and it could be for one reason that they

Martin:

like the landscape and the style and so on.

Martin:

So Minnesota is place for immigrants and

Martin:

Swedes immigrating.

Martin:

And another place is Chicago.

Martin:

It was the second largest city in Sweden at

Martin:

one time.

Martin:

Chicago.

Martin:

So Minnesota Nice.

Martin:

I want to focus here on this new year nice

Martin:

things.

Martin:

And when I picked the word focus, I have subscribed to a news magazine in Swedish

Martin:

called Focus in Swedish and here it's play with words.

Martin:

You could say Scott or leap year again.

Martin:

And it's about not so positive news about shooting but that it has decreased lately.

Martin:

But maybe in some areas especially no Go Zone in Gothenburg, Sweden Zone maybe that have

Martin:

increased but that also for another time.

Martin:

But I will use this to do live streaming once a week on Ego Netcast and also on Teapot Media

Martin:

and then turn them into audio episodes of my podcast Ego Netcast, my first podcast that I

Martin:

started in 2006 and tea party Media Tea Party Media podcast.

Martin:

So I will come up with the schedule here on the New Year today and as I said I will do

Martin:

this short and sweet because I have another recording here in a bit of a podcast called

Martin:

Victed Porictid by Corin Koch and that's season 13th and episode two with artist Clara

Martin:

Lord.

Martin:

So today is something called In Swedish Juvgande, Juvel or when it's when you really

Martin:

you say say goodbye.

Martin:

Goodbye to Yuletide, as I like to call it in

Martin:

English or Christmas.

Martin:

But that's also what I've talked about.

Martin:

Yuletide and yule log that you put in the

Martin:

fireplace.

Martin:

A word about the season holiday, what it's

Martin:

coming from.

Martin:

And it's Swedish and German Yuletide and the

Martin:

Yule log on fireplace.

Martin:

So called 20 Days After Christmas you could say.

Martin:

And here In Sweden it's December 24, that's Christmas starting and you have the gifts and

Martin:

the tree and so on.

Martin:

So if you take one this 20 days after that, so 31st New Year, end of the year and then now

Martin:

it's January 13th.

Martin:

So then you will have Knut 20 days of the

Martin:

Christmas and it's named after a saint called Knut or a prince in Denmark.

Martin:

And when you do, I saw it was on my Facebook Colder ice said do you still have your tree

Martin:

up? And then I said about that on Monday today,

Martin:

January 13, 2025, then officially Christmas is over.

Martin:

Because when you throw out the Christmas tree it's called like plundering the Christmas

Martin:

tree.

Martin:

And I think I wonder if you have some gifts or

Martin:

whatever.

Martin:

But it's like a celebration tradition and yeah, taking care of the end of the holidays.

Martin:

And I will see more what to talk about.

Martin:

So as I said weekly live session to do this on

Martin:

Tea Party Media and I will come up more with the schedule, find that and also about this

Martin:

studio fusion podcast with Deborah E.

Martin:

Debra Anderson. And I will include that also in the show notes so you could check that out.

Martin:

And again, Happy New Year this year.

Martin:

Later on the Asian year is the snake and I

Martin:

wonder what that could symbolize.

Martin:

But again focus on positive news and come back with that.

Martin:

And as I said in Swedish with Karin Koach we'll talk about creativity, inspiration and

Martin:

also I will add my two cents.

Martin:

That's how I could do this regarding podcasting and Podradio in Swedish.

Martin:

And this is one example of that.

Martin:

Got inspired by his expression Minnesota Nice by Deborah Anderson thought was a good thing

Martin:

to talk about live short and sweet and then use that as an episode after editing it and

Martin:

adding show notes and see what could turn out of that.

Martin:

And I did also an Instagram photo with the different note cards for the podcasts.

Martin:

And also see here this pen from Ballograph, a Swedish manufacturer of ball pen and lead pen

Martin:

and other pencils and pens.

Martin:

And the note cards are from model 1927.

Martin:

But we have had manufacturer, creator and

Martin:

business small business owner of that.

Martin:

On our show, pen meets paper.

Martin:

Penamette Papper in Swedish.

Martin:

And then, of course, I always have to end on a positive note here with the cheers saying, a

Martin:

sip here of tea and it's black tea.

Martin:

Twinings Earl Grey. And that's also a story for another time.

Martin:

The name of Earl Grey.

Martin:

Cheers.

Martin:

So with that said, talk to you soon again and Happy New Year.

Martin:

Bye for now.

Martin:

Sa.
