Martin:

Welcome to Tea party.

Martin:

Media podcast.

Martin:

I am Martin Lindesko.

Martin:

This is episode ten of his podcast.

Martin:

I've been thinking of the schedule for the future and I come to the conclusion that every

Martin:

two weeks or bi weekly and that you could say it's twice per week or it's twice per month or

Martin:

every two weeks, like on a fortnightly basis and that's what I could keep on doing, I

Martin:

think.

Martin:

So doing one like solo show once and then into

Martin:

a conversation the second one.

Martin:

So twice a month on a fortnightly basis and

Martin:

then we'll see if I could keep it up and continue with it and do it more often.

Martin:

But with that you have one week when you publish and then for marketing this next week

Martin:

and then preparing for next one, et cetera.

Martin:

And I did a couple of episodes in January and

Martin:

then other things have been happening and I will also do that with the newsletter that

Martin:

will be on a fortnightly basis as a standard and then if it's more, it will be a newsletter

Martin:

every week.

Martin:

So that's what I've been thinking about for

Martin:

some time, to have a regular schedule and to be able to keep it up.

Martin:

So, with that said, I will do a short introduction and review of a new service in

Martin:

Alpha Stage called podfans FM by Sam SETI.

Martin:

And he did a demo, a demonstration of his

Martin:

service for me a few days.

Martin:

Ago and I was really impressed and saw the

Martin:

light, so to speak, what this could be for podcasters and further podcasters and co hosts

Martin:

and listeners and supporters and everyone included in the workflow and in the

Martin:

podosphere, so to speak.

Martin:

So I'm really exciting about this service and

Martin:

I have signed up for it and you could go to podfans Fmlicum where it should be my profile

Martin:

and I will get up a profile picture and adding some more stuff to it and start to explore it

Martin:

even more.

Martin:

One thing that I liked with it really is with

Martin:

this value for value model that you could do boostogram of course and then you could do

Martin:

streaming sets per minute.

Martin:

You could also do setting up like a budget

Martin:

that you say every time Teapotty Media is publishing new episode, I will stream this

Martin:

amount of sets depending on how long it is.

Martin:

So that's an interesting way.

Martin:

So you don't so called forget to support content creators that's like the model of

Martin:

patron that have on a monthly basis and you could have a PayPal donation every month.

Martin:

Thing with that is you have that on patreon, you have a certain wave and like a paywall,

Martin:

you could say it, but if you create content or you do different things for the readers, for

Martin:

the listeners, for the subscribers and donors so this could be more open.

Martin:

You could say like you have this ask that you ask for support because you are creating

Martin:

something and individuals that want to support you, but maybe want to have a reminder or not

Martin:

forget to support you every week.

Martin:

If you publish every week or for me now, then

Martin:

on a fortnightly basis with this podcast, then it's easier to remember.

Martin:

I've been thinking of that myself also lately, that, oh, I want to support this podcast, when

Martin:

did it publish? Is it going live, item tag, et cetera.

Martin:

So when you're getting into this Podcasting 2.0 initiative and what's going on, it's very

Martin:

interesting and how you could find new podcasts, fellow podcasters, how you could

Martin:

support content creators and also having these fans, you could say in a positive way.

Martin:

And talking about that, I think about what an artist Maria Rubia said about fans, where she

Martin:

called them rubies, and that you really have an interaction and have a connection.

Martin:

And this I think you could have with podfans FM.

Martin:

I was thinking of that for Pod Chaser also that it could become like a hub, a place, a

Martin:

community for fellow podcasts.

Martin:

I'm using it to remind it to for example, I

Martin:

have had added Adam Curry.

Martin:

If he is on a show or being a guest on a show,

Martin:

I get the notification on that.

Martin:

So that's a neat feature of Pod Chaser and I

Martin:

see it's a big market here, so it's lots of friendly competition out there and the

Martin:

different apps, the new podcast apps that are triggering each other of adding new feature

Martin:

and finding their niche and their style.

Martin:

So I've added new podcast apps on my phone and

Martin:

also on web browser here.

Martin:

podfans is web browser at the beginning and

Martin:

then it will be that you could use it on your smartphone also in the near future, I think.

Martin:

So I like that kind of thing.

Martin:

And also that users could then get Satoshi's

Martin:

if I do like Gamification, if I do certain things and starting Login, because that's the

Martin:

whole thing.

Martin:

If it's a new service like I interviewed, had

Martin:

a conversation with a co founder of Pod Chaser, if it become a habit or not.

Martin:

And that's the thing.

Martin:

And I really think that podfans FM will be

Martin:

that for me and for my fellow podcaster.

Martin:

I think that will be the case because Samsati

Martin:

has really got it and presented in a nice way.

Martin:

So this is a short and sweet introduction to

Martin:

podfans FM and I look forward to review it a bit more and learn about it and test it out in

Martin:

the near future, hopefully.

Martin:

I know that Sam is busy, but they're having

Martin:

him as a guest on this podcast and I have already one guest in the pipeline.

Martin:

You could say that, he said.

Martin:

On Mastodon.

Martin:

On Podcast Index, social fellow Martin NUM.

Martin:

Now you say in Swedish martin of Pod friend.

Martin:

He's working on new version there on his app, Pod Friend, and it's interesting to see what

Martin:

he's doing there.

Martin:

And I asked him if he wanted to be a guest on

Martin:

my show and he said that he would do that and that's great.

Martin:

So I would say with that I will talk to you soon again and cheerio.

Martin:

So bye for now.

Martin:

And of course you should have a call to action

Martin:

and that could be that you check out the new podcast app on new podcast apps or the new URL

Martin:

podcast apps like Applications so Podcastapps.com.

Martin:

And check out new apps like podverse, Fountain, Podframed, et cetera.

Martin:

And I think podfans will be included there also in the future.

Martin:

So with that said, cheerio once more and talk to you soon again.
